TIDWORTH COMMUNITY AREA AWARDS 2005: ‘RECOGNISING
ENDEAVOUR’
Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Mr John Bush OBE is set to return as guest of
honour at Tidworth Community Area (TCA) awards 2005: ‘Recognising
Endeavour’ ceremony to be held at Ludgershall Memorial Hall on Wednesday, 15th March 2006 at 7pm.
Mr John Bush will present a series of certificates and trophies for every nomination put forward, in addition, shields are awarded to groups and individuals who have provided the most contribution. "I don't think there is anything like this in the County and would be thrilled to to present the awards again," Said Mr Bush following last years event.
The scheme was originally 'Tidworth Community Challenge', which ran for eight years. However, after its re-launch in 2004 as the Community Area Awards it now aims to recognise groups and individuals from across the community area who give their time to benefit the community.
Organiser, Tidworth Development Trust's Community Development worker, Hilary Hollinsworth said: "These awards are very important and recognise how much really does go on in the communities. We have receieved many nominations, which shows just how much good is going on, however there is still room for more and I am happy to receive further nominations up to a week prior to the event."
This is an open event and all are welcome. To find out more, or to register your nominations, 4846693 or email:
