David Brown is the director of the Chamber of Commerce for Tidworth, he recently spoke to community radio station Castledown Radio about the changes taking place at Station Road.

The building of the new Tesco store is well underway and it is expected that the development will bring change to the whole area, most notably with regards to consumer needs, employment in the community and the local economy.  

It will have a bigger space, “an open continuous feel’, remarked David, ‘which will bring more people in”.  Although not confirmed, it is hoped that the new store will open during the Christmas period or in early 2008.
