Brave teddies from across the Salisbury area will be taking to the skies in a huge sponsored teddy parachute jump at Salisbury Cathedral on Saturday April 18 to help the Stars Appeal’s Caring 4 Kids campaign.
Entry is free, but teddy owners are asked to register their bears in advance, then help them collect sponsorship of at least £10. All teddies will receive a special certificate to reward their brave efforts. This exciting opportunity is open to all teddies or similar cuddly friends, whose owners may be young or young at heart. Last year over 200 teddies jumped, raising more than £5,000.
Hannah Paye, Fundraising Co-ordinator for the Stars Appeal said:” We are thrilled to have the opportunity to hold this event in such a fantastic location. Special parachutes will be provided and a highly trained crew will ensure each teddy will have a safe and happy jump. All proceeds will go towards our Caring 4 Kids campaign to make life better for local children in hospital.”

Jayne Hand, Managing Director of Homecare Domestics, which is sponsoring the event said: “I’m sure that anyone whose child needs to go to hospital would want them to get the very best care. We want to help the Stars Appeal to achieve this and that’s why we’re sponsoring this fun event.”
