Possible disruption for Ludgershall waste collection service
A planned strike by local government workers on Tuesday 28th March is set to cause disruption in Ludgershall and other areas in the community.
Kennet District Council says it could affect its ability to carry out Refuse and Recycling Collections Services on that day.
To ensure minimal disruption, the Council is asking households whose collection day is normally a Tuesday, not to place their refuse and recyclables out, but to store them until their next normal collection day. The refuse will be collected the following week on Tuesday the 4th April and black 'recycling' boxes on the 11th April.
The strike will only affect residents whose normal refuse or black box collection day is a Tuesday. Tidworth, the Chutes and Collingbournes will not be affected.
Cllr Peter Evans, Kennet’s Environment Champion, said: "We sincerely apologise to residents for this disruption in our service and we will be resuming a normal service on Wednesday 29th March. I would like to thank residents for their help and understanding in this matter."
