Operation SAFE HOME ~ June PDF Print E-mail

Over the next few months several units from the 43 (Wx) Bde AO will deploy on operations to Afghanistan and Iraq.

The RMP are conducting Operation SAFE HOME during the deployment to help reduce crime levels and the fear of crime, both to Units and their families, ultimately improving the military community environment.

Families Packs will be produced and sent to all families via their Unit Welfare Officers and copies will also be held in the Tidworth & Bulford Hives.

These packs will contain information on Quarter security advice, The Good Neighbour Scheme (informing a Neighbour and the RMP when you go away so your quarter can be checked on), Useful Telephone numbers, property marking advice and female safety.

Briefing can also be given upon request to Unit members and their families / wives clubs on Female Safety (including drink spiking), Drink driving and Crime Reduction.

Foot and vehicle patrols will be conducted around the MSQ estates by members of the RMP and Wiltshire Police and other agencies throughout the area will be involved in activities to improve the quality of life for families such as the monthly Bluez ‘N' Zuz youth disco in Tidworth which will be extended to Bulford later in the year.

Unit personnel can also attend the RMP 1 day Unit Crime Reduction Advisors Course, held at 158 Pro Coy 3 RMP which provide practical advice on reducing crime within their Units.

158 Pro Coy 3 RMP will also be linked to the Families ‘One Vision' website one created, offering further information on Operation SAFE HOME and advice on reducing crime.
