New Shops Open in Tidworth PDF Print E-mail

Over the last few months Tidworth has been transforming. Since the phenomenal success seen by Tesco on  Station Road which opened last year, several new businesses have set up shop in Tidworth. The area is currently 'bucking the trend' with three new businesses recently opening; 'Trotters' an Equine and Country store, ‘Generation Sports and Cycles’ which stocks equipment and clothing for a range of sports and the ‘Blue Garlic Restaurant’ an upmarket Indian fusion restaurant.

Michael Ancram MP officially opened the three new businesses at the end of November which was followed by a presentation of the marketing strategy to promote the community area. The Kennet Economic Partnership Manager, Colette Mallon said “This is absolutely fantastic news for Tidworth that in the current climate, we have 3 brand new businesses opening.  I have spoken to all the businesses about the regeneration prospects for Tidworth and surrounding area. They have done their home work; they have done the background research and have decided that Tidworth really fits the remit of their business. The KEP had embarked on a marketing campaign to really change the  public perception of Tidworth and I think if you take a moment and stop long enough to go into Tidworth and see what’s going on I have noticed tremendous changes in the last 6 months since I have been in post and those changes are only going to improve.”
