Ludgershall Parish Council - Proud New Owners Of The Village Car Park
Ludgershall Parish Council (LPC) is celebrating after successfully securing the ownership of the areas car park and public toilets.
Chairman, Chris Williams congratulated the LPC committee for securing the purchase of the car park from Kennet District Council (KDC) for the sum of £40,000.
The public toilets have now been transfered at no charge from KDC to LPC ownership, with an agreement for KDC to provide a contracted cleaning service until March 2007.
“This is a fantastic asset for the village along with the toilets, and at present there is no plan to charge vehicles entering the car park. There will be height restrictions, i.e., no heavy goods vehicles, and there will be a maximum waiting time, which will fit in to the working day,” said Chris.
Signs for both the car park and the toilets will shortly be erected listing the new ownership.
