Local primary schools get active and health conscious
Primary schools in the Tidworth Community area have been chosen to be part of a project aimed at getting young children more active and health conscious.
Kennet District Council and Wiltshire County Council are jointly funding an Out of School Hours Learning scheme, which will focus on the fundamental skills of agility, co-ordination and balance whilst also relaying the importance of healthy eating.
The schools targeted for the project are Collingbournes Primary School, Zouch Primary School, Clarendon Infants and Castle Primary School.
Cllr Peter Richardson (Culture & Leisure Champion) said: “I am pleased to see children been encouraged to be more active and eat healthily at an early age”.
