Throughout the remainder of April Kennet District Council will be giving two free low energy lightbulbs to all visitors to the Browfort office who complete a Home Energy Check while in the reception area.
The bulbs are about as bright as a 100w bulb but use less than 20 watts an hour an each one can save up to £10 a year in electricity costs.
Completing a Home Energy Check generates an individual report into the energy efficiency of your property and is a simple way of assessing how energy savings can be made in the home.
