Media Training, which can cost thousands of pounds with other professional
training services is yours ‘free’, as Castledown Radio offers a series of free media training courses taking place during May, June and July 2006.

The success of previous courses has led to an increase in people wanting to learn media skills, therefore additional courses have now been laid on.

The training is aimed at anyone interested in radio or people who just want to try something new.

The first ‘Intro to Media’ course starts on Saturday 6th May, a 6-hour taster session giving individuals ‘hands on’ experience of radio broadcasting, including music and speech editing, programme making and interview and news reading skills.

Other more specific courses are also available in news reading, interview techniques, assistant producer and programme preparation.
