Zouch Primary School children in Years 3 and 4 have come up with several ways they hope can reduce the rubbish left around on the Zouch estate in Tidworth and encourage residents to recycle more.
Having surveyed the estate on foot and visited the Hills Recycling Centre at Compton Bassett as well as taking advice from the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, the Eco Warriors are keen to do their bit to support waste reduction.
On Friday 27th April local families and friends are being invited to a special assembly to find out what the children have discovered and how they can support the pupils in their ‘green' campaign. The highlight of the presentation will be a drama based on the households of ‘the Glums' and ‘the Greens'!
The children are planning to monitor the success of their campaign by doing another estate survey at the end of term. They also plan to enjoy some lunchtime picnics to see how much packaging is being used after following the advice of the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.
