Strutting your funky stuff, looking cool and hanging out with your friends - seriously on the agenda for 11-15 year-olds, at the fifth Bluez 'n' Zuz disco.
Located in the Tidworth Leisure Centre (TLC), and organised by civilian and military police, over sixty-five young people came along to dance the night away.
Once again, the event proved to be a big success and continues to grow in popularity.
Heading up the Bluez ‘n’ Zuz team is Pc Chris Spackman, and in a chuffed response to being asked ‘how the youngsters were reacting’, he said: “The kids are really well behaved and I’d like to say to them, ‘well done’ for when they come here – how they behave and interact with everybody is great! Please keep it up and do the same in school and where ever you go in life.”
Castledown Radio's Rick Young provided some top tunes with the disco, taking requests and dedications, with Shirley Swain reporting from the event and judging the best dancers in the 'dance competition'.
“I think it’s really good and the music is cool” and “I think it’s great, because kids can come and socialise from other kids from Castledown and other schools,” just two comments from happy punters.
