Wiltshire Police would like to advise and warn householders about individuals ‘cold calling' at your home to sell Alarms and other security products.  This advice comes following recent incidents locally.

Do not deal with cold callers or doorstep sellers. Please warn your elderly relatives and neighbours not to deal at the door.  If you have any doubts about the legality or sales techniques being employed by sales people, contact the Police or trading standards for advice.

If you are thinking to install an alarm system in your home, please contact the Police Crime Prevention Officers, on 0845 408 7000. They are able to supply you with a list of the inspection bodies that make sure that the installer is qualified to install the alarm and is recognised by the Police. 

Do not fall for the so called bargain which ‘must be taken advantage of that day,'  do your homework and remember our Crime Prevention services are free and unbiased.
