Every year the villagers of the Chute's arrange a traditional and very successful fete, and this year was no exception, despite the dull weather. Test Valley Brass Band The fete was opened by BBC South Today's weather presenter Georgie Palmer, and we were entertained by the Test Valley Brass Band, a tug of war, an impromptu dog show and a display of gundogs, as well as a visiting Gazelle helicopter. BBC South Today's Georgie Palmer opened the fete The Gazelle AH1 The Magellan Eagle Owl from Andy's Falconry The Tug-of-War final was a close call! Stalls included Portabelo Road and a climbing wall was brought in as a special treat for the kids. If you were over 80 you could climb it for free! At the end of the day the Gazelle took off and did a circuit and fly-past, and then we were treated to a fly past by a Chinook.
