Camp Activate and Camp Xtreme coming to a town near you!

Easter may have been and gone but the fun at Devizes, Tidworth and Marlborough Leisure Centres is just around the corner as Camp Activate and Camp Xtreme are all set to provide ages 4-14yrs with exciting activities taking place at a Kennet Leisure Centre near you!

Camp Activate caters for ages 4-7yrs and 8-10yrs, however 4 year olds do need to be registered in full time education.  The fun starts at 8.30am and in line with customer demand the activities now finish at 5pm, giving busy parents that little extra bit of time before they come and pick their children up.

Just some of the activities on offer include, martial arts, tag rugby, trampolining, arts and crafts, snorkelling, football courses, street dance and visits from Wings and Talons.  Some of the days are organised into themes such as dancing day, paramedics day and nature day.

Camp Xtreme caters for the older age group of 11-14 year olds and over the Easter break activities include climbing, squash coaching, ultimate Frisbee, streetdance and archery.

Camp Activate and Camp Xtreme runs Monday to Friday at Devizes, Tidworth and Marlborough Leisure centres from April 7 to April 18.

Some of the activities such as arts and crafts and wound modelling are fun but messy so it is recommended that those attending bring along an old T-shirt.  It is also advisable to check lunch arrangements so that you can prepare a pack lunch for your child if required.

Activate costs £22.00 for a full day and £11.50 for a half day, concession rates are also available.  In order to book Camp Activate and Camp Xtreme your child needs to have a leisure card, junior leisure cards cost £5 for one year’s membership.  Book in centre or over the phone.

Councillor Paula Winchcombe Kennet District Council Champion for Health said:
“Its great to see that Kennet Leisure Centres are continuing to develop new products in line with customer demand.  I am sure that Camp Activate and Camp Xtreme will continue to delight young people of all ages”.
