A building in Collingbourne Ducis has won a prestigious award following a Planning and Design Competition run by Kennet District Council (KDC).

Brian Forester of Riverdale Homes won a Category 1 Design award for Flint House. The build is described as an excellent example of how a new building can be designed to fit in well with its historic surroundings. Built using traditional flint and long straw thatch with hazel hurdles and beech hedges also used to complement its setting.
