Get
on course at the Andover College Information Evening
School leavers are
invited to attend an Information Evening on Tuesday 1 April at Andover College where they will be able to pick
up a copy of the new full-time course guide and talk to experts about their
study choices.
The College will
open its doors at 4pm and as well as information and advice on full-time
Further Education courses, visitors can expect to tour the state-of-the-art
facilities including the new Construction Centre. Subject specialists will be
on hand to talk about the range of courses on offer in business and IT, health
and social care, motor vehicle and construction, arts and sciences,
hairdressing and beauty, hospitality and catering and sport and leisure.
The College offers
a wide range of A Levels, GCSE’s and BTEC Nationals and is currently
celebrating record pass rates for students who took A Level exams in January.
Adults wishing to
return to education can also come along to the Information Evening to find out
about the new Access to Higher Education course which is open to anyone over
the age of 21 and is free for adults who do not already have A Level
qualifications. In one year students gain a qualification that will enable them
to go on to University.
Vice Principal Martin Simmons said: “At Andover College,
we’re offering more choice for school leavers in our new full-time course
guide and making it easier for adults to return to education. Anyone wishing to
continue study or in need of a change of career should come along to our
Information Evening. You may be surprised what we can offer.”
