10 AEC Promotes World Book Day PDF Print E-mail

10 Army Education Centre (AEC), Candahar Barracks, Tidworth is primed and ready to promote reading on World Book Day this Thursday 2nd March 2006.

World Book Day is the biggest annual event supporting books and reading in the UK and Ireland. This year’s event includes a major new initiative, which will see twelve of the biggest names in fiction, and non−fiction publish short, fast-paced new books designed to encourage reluctant readers.

With that theme in mind, 10 AEC will be giving away free book tokens at its camp gates between 7.30am and 9am, Thursday 2nd March, which will give each person £1 off any of the quick read titles normally retailing at £2.99.
